I really like the new models, glad to see they got a stability assist program now, would have been nice on my 06. oh well. My dealer salesman says the new electric power steering is a big improvement as well, good move for fuel economy and power IMO.
Did they make any changes to the transmission ?, anyone know ?.
They are MUCH nicer in person then I expected them to be. A loaded Hybrid was parked next to a loaded Edge. The wife and I both liked the Escape better, interior of the escape is very nicely done.
They have a nice SUV look, they have lost the cute ute look.
Now we have to go drive one, This may be what replaces her old Explorer.
I noticed that in building one on the Ford site, that many of the options that automatically came with the XLT package has to be paid for on the 2008. So they are basically juggling figures with the consumer. It's still a good buy regardless.
I looked at an '08 over the weekend. Same size as the previous edition. I think the front fascia makes it look a bit bigger but its not. Exact same wheelbase and track.
A new brochure for the 2008 Escape is out. Any body trying to deal on a 08 hybrid? Wonder if the dealers will do any dealing, also if there will be any promotion sale in the next few months?
