My brakes started pulsing like warped rotors so it was time for new brakes any way replaced front and back new rotors and pads and hardware on the front Raybesto's rotor and pads. Also did new shocks and ball joints upper and lower and had front end aligned. The pulsing is as bad if not worse any one have a clue?I torque my lug nuts.I also took it back apart and checked the run out .003 both sides. It almost acts like the ABS is coming on.
Did you machine the new rotors???
Anytime i do a brake job at work I put them on a brake lathe. You'd really be supprised that 90% of the new rotors are warped.

Tie rod ends tight? Try rotating the tires, you could have a bad one.
I know on my truck, you can definately hear the abs when it is working. It makes a grunting noise. Is the pulsating in the steering wheel too or just the pedal? If not in the steering wheel, it would suspect the rear brakes.

Is that really true?
I just put new rotors on my '97. I have a knock which seems to come every revolution of the wheel. It does not transmit much through the pedal but I can feel it in the steering wheel. It happened just after my brake job which is only a couple weeks old.
It seems to be the front drivers side.
I guess I will have them both turned and see what happens. whats another $20 at this point... Plus they should just pop off this time
I bought Bembo rotors and Hawk pads since they got the best review from most of you guys...

When I bought my parts, I went to www.tirerack.com they also list the Bed in procedure for replacing your pads. There are different recomendations for each pad. They say that if you don't bed in your brakes it is commonly misdiagnosed as warped rotors. I know I never did this when I replaced my brakes several times. I thought the rotors were warped. They may have been warped, but I can't be certain since I did not follow the manf. recomendations.
My pads required a series of controlled stops from different speeds. All of which stressed not coming to a complete stop. Once the series of stops were done you were to let the rotors cool to the touch.
When I installed my powerslot rotors I followed the breakin process they recommended. I made several slow stops from about 30 mph like the instructions stated.I've put almost 60,000 miles on the rotors since. They still aren't warped & have the second set of pads on them. I will use them again.
The front end was checked by the aligment shop every thing was good most every thing was new. The brakes at low speed you can feel them grab and release at high speed they shake the front of the truck everyone in the truck can feel it. The run out is very low with a dial indicator.003-.005.So I will pull them off and have them machined or replaced and let everyone know what happens.
