Need help with Noise

I have a 91 with a 302. It has a Jasper Rebuild with about 30K on it. I hear a noise when i accelerate that sounds like an exhaust leak, but i can't hear it when the truck is in park. When in park it sounds perfect. If it was an exhaust leak wouldn't i hear it when the truck was in park and i reved the gas? Any help would be appriciated.

EGR leak, maybe; had this happen to me. Could be a trans whine?

Thanks, I'll check out the EGR. Definitely not a trans noise.

MY SON IS CONSIDERING A JASPER REBUILT FOR HIS 90 BRONCO 302. ALL IN ALL, HAVE YOU BEEN SATISFIED WITH THE ENGINE QUALITY? I ASSUME YOU DID A LONG BLOCK INSTALL? SORRY, CAN'T HELP WITH YOUR PROBLEM, THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE INPUT ON THE REBUILT.

make sure your plugs from the engine are mapped to the correct fittings in the distributor cap. i had the same problem a few months back on the bronco i bought. it sounded fine idling...no problem. but when i accelerated it sounded like an exhaust leak. it finally hit me what it was. i popped the hood with my chilton's manual and confirmed my suspicion. the person or shop who had worked on the engine had used the mapping for a 5.0...mine is a 5.8. i switched the wires around and immediate "relief" bellowed from under the hood.

just a thought!!
