I'm planning on being at merchant's since it is close to me.

All of the restrictions mentioned on the duramax are eliminated on the 1000hp models, via bigger 4 inch down pipes. (firewall modding required, think sledge hammer) The heads are ported with bigger valves and springs(often titanium), and everything in the exhaust and intakes is ported flow matched.

I have no idea how it works, but all I know is that a few pieces and some good custom EFI tuning make these things fly.

Heck the LBZ require a different turbo, a second CP3, and a pusher pump along with some other minor goodies with custom tuning and you are looking at 700rwhp.

$5k plus a suncoast/ats tranny.

I'll take ugly and car ride over looks tough but isn't. Sorry.

[QUOTE=Kwikkordead]Ok, I'll bite 'cause I'm curious. What is it?

'96 t-800 KW 4&1/4 cat turned wide open. We had it put on the dyno at Peach state ford by the friend who opened her up, she broke 800hp&2100ft lbs and then we turned it back to keep the driver from killing himself or the truck.

Yes these engines are capable of massive power, but in something that big you never know it untill you can stretch it out on the flats.pray theres no dot out that day and hold tight!

Can you drive a super 18?

Sounds like a ride that would make you fear the Lord.

Never had the opportunity. That sort of thing never materialized in my life.

KwiK: You might try this if you can find it. An R190 (International) 4-71 Detriot, 5 main 4 behind and 12 ton payload (3axcels) top speed 38 mph but it would climb like a billy goat. This is really fun on a CA freeway.
