Industrial 428s

Just read a post and saw the 428 lived on past 70 for industry use...my dad told me in a mustang and ford mag they suggested using heads from a early 70s industrial 428...

would that then be a j code head of some sort? maybe used on other things like industrial 390's and 427's. these things where used as pumps and all kinds of things, so the question would be about the sodium filled valve stems. one would think that the ports would be bigger just for this reason alone. that would require extensive port work and new guides, but hey maybe! D2JE heads, do they exist?

They either used the same heads the 390 pickups used or FT heads.

My Guess is the early 70's 428 industrial motor probably used the D2TE head, which is a good head for the FE's, It allready has the Hardened exhaust seats in it...JMO
