as far as the chip, you will find everybody here says DP Tuner. Good tune at an extremely fair price. I have an 02 F250 with 60k. Mine should be here on Monday. If you chip, you will need guages and prob tranny upgrade and also 4" exaust. Check out www.dp-tuner.com

Welcome to FTE, jrcbfun. Everyone here is almost like family, and you're in for a treat if you hang around. You're kinda making me jealous with that deal you got. Mine had 114K when I got it last September.
Most folks in here seem to be going for the 5-6 position DP chip from Jody. I've heard nothing but excellent things regarding his tuning quality and expertise with these 7.3's. There are also a series of "cheap and easy" mods that you can do as well.

Nose around a bit, and I know you'll find lots more.

Before you chip her you need to do some supporting mods.
Gauges - Pyro, Boost, Trans Temp (if Auto)
Exhaust - muffler delete, 5", or stacks (your choice)
Intake - Anything but K&N (AIS, AFE, 6637)

oh yes, the 6637 Kwik mod filter. Best bang for the buck and great sound too. forgot about that one already. sorry

Thanks for the info. My buddy has on 02 excursion 7.3. he has hypertech programer, the truck is bone stock no gauges nothing! This thing will make A/Ts into slicks. Also fuel mileage WOW.(even when pullen a 26ft boat). I want the gauges, no problem, but how much more horsepower will i get with exhaust, or will it just be louder. air filter, no brainer. I dont want more sound than power.
