Does anyone know where to get replacement type leather seat covers? I have a 99 f-250 lariet with tan leather that is totally shot. The back seat is fine, the front 40/20/40 is trashed.
I am having the sam issues trying to fix the leather in my Father in law's 2000 F250 with Tan Leather. I tried looking for one from salvage, but the junk yard is asking over $450.00 with no guarantee that it looks OK(It is located out of state, so I have to buy it before I can see it, no thanks) I also found an OE TakeOff company that wanted $795.00 for the 40/20/20 in "brand new condition". I make try taking it to a leather re-finisher to see if they can just reconditoin the old seats. My guess it is more cost effective to fix the seats you have than replace them.
The local upholstery shop is repairing my driver's seat. He is just doing the panels that are cracked and the vinal around the side. He is also rebuilding the foam in the cushion. He ordered the leather from some supplier and it matches pretty close. Total cost $175.
Dan, where are you in Texas? There is a pretty good auto upholstery shop just down the street form my office in Garland? Going to have them do some work for me next month.
