OK...Just went through about 5 pages of tire threads and still haven't found the answer...So I am going to annoy everyone and ask a repeating question....
What is the largest tire size I can put on my F350SD? It is running stock 16in rims, no lift. I am looking at the BFG Mud or AT KO's.
I've been told from tire stores that 285/75 R16 (close to 33X11.5)would be the largest tire you can fit without much rubbing issues. Even with this tire you may find some rubbing at full turn (at least I do), but at the same time I am running Toyo MTs. I'm no tire expert but I've done my research and the tire I run suits me well. Hope this helps and I'm sure others will chime in also. Good Luck!
On PSD 4x4's, the front will always be the issue due to the fact they ride a little lower because of the PSD's weight. The rear is never a problem (either on a 250 or 350.
I've seen 285's run all the time with no problems. I've seen 295 and 305's run with no problems on V10 and 5.4 gassers because they ride higher in the front. But to be sure on a PSD, you would probably want to run a leveling kit on the front like 2 - 2.5" kit if you want to go larger. With that, you should be able to run up to 305 / 70's on your 16" rims.

You hit the nail right on the head. I swear the front end of my V10 sits close to 3" above my buddy's 6.0.
i also run 305/70/16 on stock rims. no problems. no mods. had a set o fterra grapplers, lasted 46k. just bought a set of firestone destination a/t's and have been great so far but really have'nt tested them yet. most of all, make sure you buy the right load rating for your needs. most of these tires are 'd' load range and if you tow heavy loads i'd stick with the 'e's. good luck

Yep. When I parked my '03 PSD FX4 next to my buddy's '02 V10 FX4, mine sat exactly 2.5" lower than his in the front as measured from the top of the (stock) tires to the bottom of the fender lip. At the very front I'm sure it's more.
Now that is the information that I needed to hear. Thanks everyone! Next purchase...leveling kit. Will the kit require me to get an alignment or is it not enough of a change to worry about?
scwirenut, I have seen (and read on this forum of) people running 265/75/16's on the front of duallie's with 235/85/16's on the rear. The height should be the same (I'd double check to make absolutely sure), and if you have the aluminum wheels you can't move your front's to the back anyway, so I don't see why that wouldn't work. If you want to go taller, some run 255/85/16's all around - I'm not sure it leaves enough space between the duals if you're carrying alot of weight on the rear end, though.
