Fuel economy with 351M 4x4
I am purchasing and will bring red 1978 4x4 351M home tomorrow and am excited about have drive behind 4x4 truck again. I have been wondering about MPG on on these 351M 4x4 truck??? any of you have any input? i tried search and search i wouldnt find it i must have type it wrong....
this truck has only 94,000 miles on it and looking real good/ no rust... feel smooth running , had brother listened say smooth too and i test drive around and around , wow low mileage for that year... i am excited because i sure missed driving truck...been hmm 4 or 5 years since my 460 went south i blamed transmission shop that i asked they to replace front seal due to leak... guess what? (without my knowing) they went and digging inside tranny and put back the way it was and after done install back in truck & told me (letting me know) that there are about to worn out anytime soon and admitted to me they did take apart few in there... anyway i took truck and drove..weird that it seem not right... something so dragging boom 460 went down... i realize it was stuck in 1 gear i went back to shop told what happening and they denying it.... say it not related to tranny that piston went south... what a rip off anyway been 4 or 5 years long missing my truck sitting at my friend's house waiting for me...that i blamed tranny shop for messing around but i also feel should blamed myself too for let them replace front seal which i should done it myself oh well.... ohhh sorry for went off topic little bit but i am sure glad i am getting back in truck driving again yeeehaaa lol ohh let me know about MPG on these 351M yes it is code h in vin and i looked on label on valve cover. i doubt they rebuild it to 400? because it look old/dirty motor? Sorry for long blah blah i just so excited
MPG hmm and 351M is any good? ?? i dont know much about 351M myself... i sure missed 460 maybe someday hmm ...alllright let me know about these i asked ok thanks guys!!!!!
