This has got to have been covered somewhere, but I can't find any info here. Sorry. My '77's inst. cluster just crumbled in my hand (the part that the electrical plugs into). Is there a replacement for it? I have checked around and every supplier says they are all crumbled ... The dash face plate and ints. are all good. I have a way figured out for mounting the guages back into the bezel but I am still working on the electrical connections. Is there a solution for this?

Yes, Blue Oval Truck Parts sells new ones. They are just the cluster backs. They also sell printed circut for some models too,

You can use the cluster back out of 1975-1986 Econoline vans. You will however need to swap your printed circut to the new back along with the front gauge cover from your old cluster. 1981-1986 Econolines use better plastic that doesnt have the crumble problem like the earlier ones seem to have. However a pick and pull or wrecker may want to sell you the whole cluster. The gauges and speedometer and cluster lens, will also work for you too if that is the case.
You know guys, I started to rebuild this truck about 10 years ago. Couldn't find the parts and didn't want to fabricate, so I figured someone would start making the parts. Bingo! This forum is awsome. Blue Oval certainly had what I needed, and furthermore, has other hard to find stuff I need (like the gas fill flat hose). Thanks for all the responses. The cost is cheap in compairison. A new truck will cost $400 to $600 dollars a month, I have been doing that since 1997 when the new body came out. To spend a few thousand on my favorite truck is peanuts! I will post some pictures when I "giterdone"
