i have a 05 freestar sport it locks when you drive but when you stop it stayes locked. the manual says their is a code to enter in the door keypad to unlock when you put it in to park but it dosn't tell you what it is does anyone know how to do this.
I have no idea except to suggest the Escape or one of the other truck forums that deal with this year of a Ford vehicle forum, there is no Freestar forum on FTE.
Plus maybe try a Google for a Freestar forum search.
I think lots of those features are a pain in the ****. I programmed a few things on my SD - namely the seat belt buzzer and the doors locking when you start driving. I have had a Focus courtesy vehicle for a few days and I usually leave the keys in the ignition when its at the farm. Twice, I have been locked out of this piece of crap!!!

I locked myself out twice in one week with our 84 Ranger we used to have. It was hard to unlock it even with a slim jim bar tow trucks carry so I used to carry a spare key with me. It rarely happens now but it`s alot easier to be prepared.
