Hello everyone I live in Macon, GA and drive a 2001 Ford F150 with a 4.2 liter V6. This is the 4th truck I have owned and must say this one is my favotite due to the dependability of the Ford 4.2 liter V6. I have recently added on a few mods and have been very happy with the performance gains from a couple of them.

I first installed a set of dual exhaust using a Flowmaster 50 series with 14 inch chrome tips that open up the 2 and a half inch pipe to 3" and have been very pleased with the low throaty sound. Next I installed a AirAid cold air intake or as some of you would call it "hot air intake" since it has an open filter in the engine bay but non the less I do understand that hot air is less dense so I do plan on making some modification before summer gets here to bring some outside air to the intake. I then installed dual tip platnum plugs and had the throttle body cleaned and polished. My next mod was a billet grill insert over my factory grill, I know poor mans mod but it does look good because I took the time to paint the factory grill black so the factory gray would not show through. My final mod to date was to replace those elephant ear factory mirrors for a set of street scene sport mirrors which look very good but I am still getting used to the extra space I see smaller. My next mod will be to have the grill surround painted to match the truck but to add a little spin on things I am going to leave the chrome around the grill on the grill suround to give it that Dodge grill look but have the rest of the grill surround around the lights painted to match the truck. What do you guys think about my idea with the grill surround ? If anyone has done this I would love to see some pictures. I look forward to sharing and learning from each and every one of you and have so far learned a lot expecially about Sea Foam gas and engine treatment, that stuff is the bomb.
