429 flywheel
well i have a 429 with a flywheel missing too many teeth apparently. so im a newby and i bought a bronco with this engine in there. is there anything to help me here, cause i gotta peel everything off the engine and stuff, any tips for bolts that wont come out, cause im very weary and havent touched it yet, its "scary" yea know. cause pulling out the interior was hell and i got everything out. but it was brutal and this is scary.

for the flywheel id just undo the speedometer cable, undo the shift selector linkage, drop the drive shaft, drop the starter, drop the exhaust and pull the tranny. there you should be able to turn the flywheel/flexplate and take the bolts out and remove it... just check above the starter for the block casting number... if its d9te you need an external balance flywheel and its a 460 not a 429. if its any other number (c8ve, c9ve, d0ve,d1ve) then its a neutral balance one and could be either a 429 or 460. the only bolts you should have any issues with are the ones on the exhaust... but you dont have to take the manifolds off so any other exhaust bolts id just take an angle grinder and grind them off, and replace them with new ones.
