hey guys, i was wondering how i could find out what type of rear end i have in my 87 f150 2wd 4 speed!

probably the 8.8" but there should be a small metal tag on there that would tell you.

Check the metal tag on the dif, otherwise there is a code on the sticker inside your drivers side door that can be used to tell you what axle and what gear ratio you have.
I would also guess probably an 8.8, I would guess the ratio to be 3.55 or 3.73 with the 4 speed manual.
The owner's manual for my 94 shows what all the codes relate to. I would guess your manual if you have it probably has it in there too.
