oh ok, so the ones with just the small badge near the headlights are the ones with the turbo that you can not replace the housing on then, while the ones with the badges on the doors you can replace the housing?
You need to look at the airbox, since mine gave with the emblems on the door, yet it is an early 99. it your airbox says intercooled on it then its an early 99 and you cannot just replace the housing.
what are the build dates that they changed? truck i'm looking at has a build date of 07/01/99, its at a dealer though and i don't want to seem to eager on it, so i don't want to go back for a bit here

A build date of 07/01/99 is a 99.5 model or late model 99 which ever you prefer. I believe the cutoff date would be 12/98 if I remember right
Thats a late 99. Pros of early 99 is that you should not surge since they do have the anti surge wheel stock. Cons is, its smaller, and you have to change alot of things to update to the late 99 style and then you get a bigger choice in turbos,.
Hpop and turbo as stated above. Injectors are also a little on the low side I believe. BDP has a bolt on replacement for the turbo that is suppose to flow a little more air than a stock H2E for about the same price as the turbonetics. The most important would be you HAVE forged rods!
If anyone here does an upgrade that eliminates their early '99 y-pipe or "spyder pipe" I need one and will, more than happily, pay you for yours. Sorry for the hijack. Thanks
