88 steering collum

Guys does anyone know if I can plug a 86 steering collum into an 88 truck. I have the 86 and just got a line on a 88 4x4 but it needs a collum. Thanks Steve

what's wrong with the column in the 88? they are really simple. unless someone stole it out of the truck, they are an easy fix most of the time.

I was just told that it would need to be towed away. I cannot get ahold of the current owner until tonite. I will ask for details and let you know what he says. The easy to repair is good news though thanks.

even if it needs a new column, you could probably use the one from the 86, but you wil probably have to change the blinker switch to get the wires to match the 88.
