wireing problems
I'v had a lot of wireing problems with this truck.
I have the extra cab or what ever they call it with the little back doors.2WD 2.5L 1998 its got 114,000 miles but most of my problems I'v been living with since 60,000.
I think the back doors are the problem with my door ajar light staying on (had to take out the dome lights). My right turn signal wont work if I lift the lever all the way untill it clicks in place. If I lift it and hold it just enough the signal will work.
I also have problems with heat still. Behind the glovebox there is part of the heat system. On top of it is a small white servo like pice. If you remove that it has a "D" shaped peg sticking out of it. The part that the "D" fits into (I think this is the "blen door")is broken. So some times I get full blast heat if I turn on the defrost sometimes its cold. The other settings all seem to give me outside air (cold this time of year).
I bought this truck from a dealer as a "Factory Service Vehical" with 2,000 miles on it. I'v been thinking It was returned as a limmon and they patched it up and resold it.
Im told that some dealers get trucks and cars that were damaged by delivery or factory damaged and are repaired at the factory and are then sold as new repaired maybe thats the story with yours... another problem i had one time was i bought a new van and it wasnt smog registered for my home state of NY so they had to take the van back and give me another one just like it. the one i had was wonderful the second one they gave me had 2300 miles on it and that one had so many problems i got so peeved i traded it in after six months ( it was a chevy venture i traded in for a ford escape) if it was done as a lemon youd find out on carfax
The door ajar light is due to a sticky switch in the door latch.
The turn signal problem is due to a bad MFS (multi-function switch) or the connector.
Your heater issue is a broken blend door, there's a cheap fix.
