2007 Supercrew brake question

Is it only me?? When I back up after truck has been setting for a while it sounds like the brake are dragging. I do not use the emergency brake. Any ideas welcome

What do you consider sitting a while. If it's like a week or something you will get surface rust on the rotor that will make noise

my '05 does the same thing even if it only sits for an hour...original brakes...ceramics may or may not help, but i don't plan on replacing them til they wear out...

^^^^^ yep what he said, or possibly you drove on a sandy/gravel infested/dusty/rocky road and something got in between your pad and rotor.

It will do it after I go into a store and come back out. I have "exercised" the Emergency brake several time and all seams to work fine.

Does yours make noise only when it's in reverse? My 07 does after sitting over night, especially when it damp.

Yes. It only does it in reverse. I don't know if I want to let the dealer wook on it or not. I think it might just be normal for these trucks.

It's normal for everything with rotors. It's actually a very good sign, showing that your rotors are not contaminated with oil. The surface rust also cleans the glaze off the pads if you'll bear down on the brakes while the rotors are still rusty (a quick stop or two). Next time you go to the truck after sitting out in wet weather, just observe the rust on the rotors.
