I got me a LS1 out of a 99 ramed air trans am guy in te yard said tis thang got like 400 horses. I be puttin it in te courier real soon watch out graywolf ther be a new fastest truck on earth shortly!
I think a th350 or glide will work wit it and te exploer rear wit 4.57 gears and tons of nitro!!

Find a 4L80E trans out of a truck. They can be built to handle a lot of torque and will bolt up to the engine.
As for the Hp, my 98 Z28 has just over 300. I belive the ram air added 25hp. Good luck on the project.

U probly right on te horses smurf I seen wer summit got carb intake for te beasts mite go dat root since i no my way round them carbs better then fuelie stuff!

What are you planning to race? 1/8th or 1/4 That light truck would run fast with a powerglide on the 1/8th.I'd use a 3or 4 speed auto if I was running the 1/4. I visited a buddy today & helped him load his 1/8 mile car. Its a 69 Nova. He uses a powerglide in it. His best times are high 4s & low 5s. Its a quick little car. He is running this weekend but I'm not sure what track. It will be Byhalia or MMS

Ford has a 6sp manual in the the 04 SC Cobra. Ford now has an optional 6sp auto in the 07 explorer and a slightly bigger 6sp auto in the expedition.

tem 6spd real nice but last vette i saw flipped over had some werd tube wit the trans in the rear(dont thnk tha thang will be easy to swap in te courier) Te F body car camara & birds got a easy swap trans to use wit te LS1. Hmm.... I'm not rich, unless pocket lint counts as small change.
The explorer trans sounds like an idea. I'm already counting coin for an explorer rear end. That would mean the driveshaft fits at both ends!
The bigger Expi tranny sounds like one to watch for.

Ol graywolf you mite wel be rich u gonna get one of them fancy elctronic exploer trans that the bellhousin wont fit behind no 351 engine any how. Beside u got to have te brain box to control dat thang? Dont even thik te chassis same so scatch te driveshaft too.
