weird sound

weird sound

took the truck through some mud yesterday and now its making a low pitched sound. Making the whining noise as if your power steering fluid is low. Checked the fluid, not the problem. Anyone know?

Sounds like a loose vaccum connection somewhere...if it were power steering it would be high pitched not low. Could also be mud caked to your fan making the nosie cuz it would throw it off balance causing it to spin erratically.

checked these areas and they were fine. Sounds like its coming from the front of the engine...around the pulleys

could have been some mud packed around the balancer.. that will screw it up... check very carefully for mud because it can and will get packed into where its not supposed to be.... check your idlers as well
