stalling question

OK, this problem started a couple of weeks ago after a tune-up (I don't remember it happening before...), and it's driving me nuts. It's a '79, F150 custom, 4X4, 351M, manual, 83,000 original miles.

At any given time the truck will just stall, sometimes right after I start it, sometimes driving down the road at a constant speed, sometime accelerating. it starts right back up, no problem. I've gone over the thing with a fine tooth comb looking for any type of problems, but to no avail...any suggestions or ideas, any help would be great!?

Thanks!

Broken or frayed wiring on ignition system and can show up from engine vibration/movement.

first place to corrode is usually the distributor wire connectors.
Sometimes the wiring to the coil frays or hangs by a thread.

When something's been messed with, it's a likely source of trouble, so don't say "it's new" and assume it's right. :/

ps- at least you didn't ask for "the one thing to change out" that'll fix the whole pickup like new ;)

I went out and bought a new rotor and cap last night...so far so good...the "old one" was a brand new ... 3 weeks old... give or take a day... who knows... I'm blame F.M. (F**k'n Magic)...

Thanks
