The diagnosis the second time that I brought it in was that there was a "recurring loss of communication between the injectors and the PCM". They wanted me to replace the entire PCM.
Truck city in Buda is a little better, Or I go to Johnson/Sewell in Marble Falls. I know the two diesel techs and they are very good, They let me go in the back and talk/watch while they are working. I can hook you up if you want to. I would trust these guys and highly recomend them. Every time I go in there they try to hire me to sell trucks or turn wrenchs. I pretty much know all the people at Johnson-sewell.
That's a hell of a drive for me for a diag. The serv advisor told me the tech spent 3.5 hours on the truck this last time it was in there. I really just want to know what's wront wth the truck - I've built many cars and I could repair it fairly easily myself if I knew what they problem was.....
Yeah, I really don't know what to do with this.
This is my first diesel truck and I really don't know what's normal.
Does anybody live in the Austin area that could take a look at it and see what about the truck is out of whack?
Any reccomended shops?
I know alot of people their at Johnson sewell as well. Mrs Johnson help put me though Texas A&M years ago. My wife worked there for years and left to finally pass her CPA exam. I'm from Burnet and they always do good work there expect I had to take my 06 back twice to finally get the turbo right.
