Air lock

Hay guys,
Lent my 88/250/7.3 to a friend and he ran it out of fuel. It has a bad air lock now and i usually open the injectors and bleed them there. On this machine is that the best option or is there a easier answer.

have you tried pushing the schrader valve in while someone tries to start the engine, but dont start for more than 20secs or you could fry the starter, and let cool for at least 2 minutes before tring again. do this till you get straight fuel coming out the valve. after that try cracking each injector line while spinning the motor over till you get fuel coming out of each one. after all that it sould fire up, if not disable your glow plugs and hit it with a little shot of starting fluid. not much it doesnt take a lot. hope this helps.

i hear you on that one. i bought me a remote starter and it makes it alot easier. exspecialy when you have to do everything by your self. well im glad it fired up and im going to give you something to think about, swap it to an electric one it makes it alot easier to prime the system after someone runs it out of fuel or after filter changes, and makes it easier to find those stubborn air leaks in the fuel lines.
