You've got all sorts of choices. My preference is the Sylvania Silverstar series of lamps. DOT legal and they provide a whiter light. Some find this whiter light to be a bit of a problem in the rain, but I've not had any issues. One warning on the brighter or whiter lamps, they have a shorter lamp life then the regular version of the lamp.
Your truck will need H13's for head lamp bulbs and 9145's for fogs. From what I gather you can also use 9005's for fogs, which have a higher wattage.
