Someone posted on here that a sign of ineffective Friction Modifier is the famous TC shudder problem. Like the transmission is telling you it needs service. Dont know that from experience though. The dealer did some adjustment on my shudder problem and it went away.

Hey guys, I've got some bad news. My transmission shudder is coming back. Seems to be about as strong as it was before I put that Dr. Tranny modifier in there. I have another tube of it and I might try dumping it in after Spring Break. Thought I'd check back with all of you to see if you have any suggestions.

I have the same problem. Tried Dr tranny did not help. I did flush the tranny and then added Dr tranny. I did read a thread, that it maybe a rear-end problem and they have these kits that they sell for the fix. I will try to find this thread and post it. I don't know bad your shutter is, but when i'm towing my ATV's up a hill (on a hwy going 65mph) My truck goes into this horrible
noise, my front starts to shutter, i have to get off the gas and slowly accelerate the gas pedal. The groaning, grinding or whatever noise you call it sounds like its always coming from the tranny area.

A bad coil pak or spark plug will feel just like a trans shudder.

The shudder when pulling up hills and the speeds you are talking about sounds more like a mis-fire under load than trans shudder.

I have the same problem but I didnt use Dr. Tranny. I used mobil 1 fluid, I was also told that the speed sensors could be bad or have alot of metal shavings with the oil stuck to it.My next step is I am going to take the sensors in the rear, and the 2 in the trans out and clean them off. Hopefully this will work.

My expy has the same problem. The shuddering used to go away after a fluid change. Now it is pretty much constant. Back to the #4 coil pack misfire. Wouldnt I be getting a check engine light with a misfire?????? Help, I am about to dive into a t/c change!!!

It sort of started under light acceleration going up a hill and now it will do it on level ground under light acceleration. I just don't know if the T/C has given up or this has been a total misdiagnoses. I noticed when I parked it the other day the tac was fluctuating up when the shuttering was happening. I would assume if it was a misfire the rpm's would drop not go up. I had Autozone pull the codes and none were present, but they use a cheap scanner. I am hesitant to drive the vehicle in case the t/c is ready to let go. I don't want it to take the entire tranny with it!!!
