Downside to Edge Evo...

hey guys,

I've been reading the posts and i'm curious what the downfall is to the edge....what problems you guys run into...anything imporntant to know about the unit....

That and the price of premium fuel is so high.

I know depending how hot/cold it gets where you live, the screen will be affected (black out). Just take the unit with you during days like these, and keep it in a controlled climate.

yep.

You will like it, trust me.

Ford factory tune makes the transmission feel like it belongs in grandma's Lincoln Town Car.

The Edge makes it feel like you just put a shift kit in it.

wakes up the engine a hair, too.

D

Well the better shifting tranny should help fuel mileage...no?...that's (if) you keep your foot out of it.

yeah,

for you guys out there that keep your foot normal and are not standing on the gas pedal....what do you see in MPG increse???

Everything about the Edge is great. You don't need to take the unit inside when it gets cold. When it's cold and you haven't started the truck for a while, the battery fails to produce a constant 12 volts to the Edge and the screen may not display anything. All you do is unplug the cable and plug it back in and your back in business.

put mine in last saturday, wow wish i did it long time ago, well tried to updat eit, and it wouldnt, edge was increibly helpful on phone, but couldnt fix prob over phone, so... they sent out another one, should have it friday!!! i found out from them they sell 800 units a month for the v8 f-150!!! wow
