My FIRST mod..very small mod..

Alright boys, I had a little issue the other day. I'm driving around with mapquest instructions clipped on the center console trying to read them while driving (not too smart, I know).

I turn the overhead light on and realize the beams aimed towards the steering wheel. Not only does it mess up the night vision, it's not where I want it.

Went to advanced auto and for 8 bucks, I got this little glue on overhead LED light that I stuck on the sunglass thingie on top.

It shoots straight down on the console and it's about perfect. You tap it to turn it on and off and it runs on batteries. Not sure about the quality but for now, it works perfectly.

You can also see the difference between the color temperature between the normal light and this new light.

Definitely bright enough to do the job and besides, you do NOT want it too bright or it'll screw up your night vision.

It's actually perfect for what I bought it for.

I also got that Twistep for the back of the truck today. Haven't put it on yet 'cause I totally screwed up my back yesterday. Couldn't even get UP today. Crawling on the floor like a drunk

Anyway, quality seems EXCEPTIONAL. This thing is super sturdy but again, I haven't tried it yet.

I'll keep yall posted.

..but not enough light. I DID get it cause I needed a bit of light. It's pretty focused so it doesn't bother me. The overhead light however does as it shines ON the steering wheel.
