Searching for "Best washington diesel mechanic" etc, here are a few shops or peeps claiming to be satisfied customers. I make no claims that they're any good, haven't heard of them.
My new toy, the 87 I want to either pull the 6.9 and rebuild it or buy a used block and build it and add TURBO. There's a couple of em listed in kits for the 6.9 so.....
Yes but you are not running the old C-6. I'll stick with mine I just wrote the check to pay for the 95 on the farm and it was three thousand dollars. I don't even want to pay for yours.
Oh C'mon. It's only $5500 from BTS. Includes shipping and return for the core. Not installed. Coming up from Arkansas. This tranny has a warranty of "If you break it, we will fix it."
Yea I love the old C6. I had it in the 350 and now in the 250. I like having an overdive BUT after we blew 2 (E40D) out the bottom of the service rig I'm a little concerned??? I'm looking at the gear venders overdive to add and I get to keep everything but the rear drive shaft.I like the 2 speeds as the extra gears help with adjusting the loads.
Totaled and hauled by the insurance company. I got sick everytime I looked at it and just didn't have the heart or the time to fix it. I need to get it off my sig. I figure it went to auction down in Portland. That US Gear under drive was great with it. I had to pull a 750 kw generator behind it one time and didn't know it was there till I tried to stop. Didn't know the brakes were wired wrong on the trailer.
But it's differnt when you drag almost 20,000 down the highway, you know that. We had a couple of guys down at the Benecia depot who "KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING". That's why they used to call me and I'd drive down from Portland just to get the units restarted. Made a lot of money off of those guys befor GE sold that buisness.
