My 2006 Escape has an intermittent problem with the power door lock on the rear driver side door. It is still under warranty but I am wondering if the dealer will fix it with it being intermittent or if I should just wait until it completely craps out. When it is below freezing out it won't unluck. I can unlock it manually and it is fine after that.
Anyone had a similar problem? Anyone have an idea what the part is worth and what the install is like? If it is cheap I may just do it myself rather than be without my vehicle for an entire day or longer.
Depends on how cold it is. After the cabin warms up, the motor probably operates normally. Prolonged harsh cold temps can affect electric motors quite a bit.
