04.5 Superduty

When does a 04 become an 04.5. I've been spending time with our sponsers and on a few items i see that year ammendment. Is the title and vin labeled with the 1/2 year? What is the differnces in the 1/2 for the regular model?

First time I've heard of this one. My build date of 04/04 is classified as a 04.

6.0 Updates from various model years thread

This thread is in the 6.0 Tech Folder and Maxium4x4 lists year to year differences. Post #6 is specific for '04 to '05 changes. The front suspension was changed to coil springs on the 4x4 models in '05.

I've never read or heard of an '04.5 designation for Ford. Dodge has an '04.5 designation due to a change in the Cummins Engine.

Exiled, what specific items were labeled or titled with that designation?

Thanks guys for bumping this thread. If you go to some of our sponsors that require you to put in a model and year before you can look at products for example DPPI it has 04 and 04.5 as years. I thought maybe the throttlebody might have split the year up. According to the 6.0 bible in 04 the throttlebody might be used, i dont know if it ever happened or not. My build date is 11/03 so its titled as an 04 i'm not sure of my engines build date as of now i've been to lazy to crawl around and look up tthe engines build date.
