Does snow build up on back window?
Ok, here's a winter driving question for those of you who have driven Broncos in the great white north. I had a Jeep Cherokee and sometimes in the winter - completely dependent on how wet and heavy the snow was - snow and ice built up on the back hatch and window. On one trip, it actually was over 3 inches thick. Fortunately it was easy to remove, but it was pretty annoying seeing it build up while driving.
What I want to know is this: has anyone experienced this with a Bronco? I bought mine in May - well after the last snow where I live - and I haven't had a chance to experience this with this vehicle. The Bronco I have does have the rear defrost and it works, but the Cherokee had it too and it wasn't that effective. Thoughts?
Thanks!

Does snow build up on back window?
Hello, Im from Alberta Canada "The Great White North" and YES snow does build up on the back of the window. Every morning we have to brush it off. Matter of fact snow builds up on every thing up here.
It sits on the back tail gait and gets higher and higher till it covers the window completly.

Agreed...... Oh, how nice it would be if the glass were flush with the tailgate. As it stands, that 2" inset makes a perfect shelf for the stuff along the upper edge of the gate. Brushing the snow off isn't really that big a deal, however, but this can be: Every winter when conditions are right for freezing rain and ice, my rear window will ice up and the glass will freeze to the window weatherstrip, preventing me from lowering the glass into the gate. Not the world's worst problem, but an inconvenience when you're planning on putting something in the back.

simple fix for this is to put a wing like blazers have on them on top rear of shell.. this only helps while driving it will still set up over night put ive heard that you can spray a coat of wd40 on the ridge of tailgate and this will help to a degree but not in a heavy snow
dont know if this helps any but just what I heard.

There's a picture here of my snow covered Bronco, fifth photo from the right. Even with the electric rear defroster, get a good snow brush.

Does the snow build up while you are driving? Every vehicle gets snow on the windows while it's parked, but does the Bronco get buildup when it is moving, and it is actually snowing?

I have noticed that when I clean the snow off in the morning and head out to work, just a couple of miles down the road the window is full of snow again, and it doesn't have to be snowing! What happens is all the snow that has settled on top of the cab and fiberglass top blows off the back and right onto the back window. This is where the wing would help keep the snow off, I just don't care too much for the looks of those wings.
