Mileage????
I have a 1994 F250 7.3L turbo diesel extended cab truck. I'm getting raped at the pump especially with diesel prices being so high right now. Does anyone know of any cheap worthwile mods to increase my mileage???

Hi and welcome to the forum......i'm pretty new here too and don't have a diesel.......but........breathing and exhaust are sposed to help........I run a K&N air filter and the truck has duals ..........I know i've seen threads talking about singles with a free-flow exhaust too......hi-flow cats and various mufflers.
Try the diesel and exhaust forums too.....probly lots of good info there.

94 mileage
I have a 94 idi turbo I am running a staight pipe and have turned my pump up a 1/8 and I am averiging around 15 mpg .I know this doesn't sound like much . It is about the best you can get out of an idi. The psd you can run a straight pipe and install a chip . the chip will run you around 400.00 and the exhuast is what ever your local exhaust shop charges you also need to check for your state regulations on emissions.Hope this helps you out.

I did install a straight pipe, and it has helped a bit...I was going to buy an Edge Evolution programmer for 94-03 ford f250's but then realized that my truck is unable to use this as it does not have electronic fuel injection lol. I guess i'll just have to suck it up and pay the price at the pump.
