cam question
I know this topic has probably been beaten to death, but i've been searching for some ideas.
I'm trying to determine what to replace my bad camshaft with. I don't intend for the truck to be a hot rod, i just want something with a little bit more power/torque than stock. I've been searching online, several websites, and here but i'm still kind of clueless.
I need a cam that i can run with stock valve-springs. I don't intend to pull the head off, as i've seen no issues w/ that. I might pull the intake/exhaust off and do a little p&p while i'm in there..but..thats about it.
The truck is a stick, so i don't have to worry about converter issues. And the clutch is fairly new. Anybody got some recommendations? I'm not wanting to take a shot in the dark here, and miss the target entirely.

If you are going to do some P&P,remove the head.The P&P work is done on the combustion chamber side of the head.Also,you WILL have the problem of the grit to be removed or it will get sucked into the engine when you start it.NOT good for the rings and cylinder walls.Leo
