Got my new truck on friday. Traded the 2001 Dodge Sport plus some cash. Never thought I would own a new F150.(2006)
When I picked it up it was snowing and the streets were slushy. Got it home and put in the garage, got the wood stove all cranked up and some garlic sausage cookin.Wiped the truck down, waxed the heck out of it and it is a fine lookin truck .Not goin to drive it until I get some mud flaps for it and possibly a winter front to keep all the salt and sand out of the rad's.Nothin better than afew shots of rye and some hot garlic sausage.
From what I can see from looking underneath the truck it looks good. I was a dodge diesel guy before this truck but could not justify the coin to get into a 2007 Dodge Cummins. My first impressions are ....the truck is comfortable to drive.Seats are firm and support is good.I have the 5.4 and 3'55 gears. At 100kmph the tach says 1700rpms.The roads were fairly icy but the truck handled good.So far I am happy!!
Welcome to FTE. It is always nice to see people come from other brands to Fords. I hope the truck provides you years of trouble free service. I really wish you hadn't been talking about the hot garlic sausage though. I don't have any.... and want some now.

Sounds like a good truck, Garlic Sausage? Never heard of that before. Sounds like garlic sausage mixed with a few shots of rye would make your breath bad enough to knock a buffalo down at 50 paces!
It sounds like a great truck. Waiting to get mine. A buddy trades his in every 3 years and puts low miles on it. I am in front of the line and can't wait for 2 more years. Stalbert 1
