I've got to replace my instrument cluster lights and can't figure out how to pull off my Headlight and wiper *****. I have an 86' and I know this can't be too hard - I just can't figure out how to do it. Any advise!!!
There's a notch in the back of each ****. Take a small screwdriver or hook tool and pull the metal tab that's at the notch toward you, and the **** should come right off. Don't just pull them off, or you'll have a hard time getting them to stay on in the future (especially the headlight switch that you have to pull).
There is a friction spring keeper on wiper ****> get a small screwdriver and place in the notch on the back of the ****,while taking rsisitance off the spring pull the **** toward the seat of the truck.
On the headlight switch you have to push a button first.
With battery dis-connected and cluster bezel loosened pull light switch all the way out > then depress button and pull the light switch shaft out.
