Ford Truck Guy
I have been driving Ford trucks for years and will not own any other brand.
My love of Ford trucks stated when I owned a '76 F350 tow truck with the infamous 360 cubic inch work horse V8. The Chevy's and Dodge trucks had more acceleration but under load they just could not pull the hills like the Fodr did. i would be waiting at the top of the hill for the Chevy's.
The Chevy frames would crack and flex. The heavey duty frames on the Fords wore built ready to work.
I currenty own a 2002 F250 4wd 7.3 PSD, and a 1968 F100 240, 6cyl 3sp. on the column. The 68 is all original and has a split manifold with glass packs. I love the old truck, and have nammed it "grandpa". Grandpa may not be tha fastest or the most powerful truck onthe road but Grandpa will always start and go even when the newer ones won't.
I know what you're talking about. There is no other brand that performs as well when the going gets tough.
