I'm interested in hearing how you make out, I'm looking to do the same, but the other way. I'm looking to put a SRW Dana 50 hub on to a DRW Dana 60. Then I want to transplant the Dana 60 front axel into my 82 F250.

just unbolt the dually adapter from the hub, and wallah! you got a single D60.
It should work. I just swapped my Dana 50 IFS to a Dana 60 solid axel this weekend. I was able to put my Dana 50 SRW hub & rotor assembly onto this Dana 60 DRW axel. My only problem is my Dana 60 DRW is wider than my Dana 50 so the front wheels are out farther than they where before by about 1.5" each side. This has nothing to due with the hub & rotor assembly, but if that extra axel width was added to compensate for the DRW offset, you may have a physical clearance problem with your tire & wheel, but I think you are fine.
One more note. The Dana 50 spindals are slightly different than the Dana 60 spindals. The D60 spindals sit deeper into the axel than the D50 spindals because the caliper bracket is a seperate piece on the D60. Not a issue for you, but just so you know that they are slightly different if you where to damage one and have to hunt one down later. I think the D60 spindal would work on the D50, but it would be VERY BAD to put a D50 spindal on a D60.
