Nothing against the original poster...just throwing this out....how many people who buy these trucks for grocery getters (thus not really knowing enough about diesels to care what they put in them) will accidentally put good old #2 diesel through it and then expect Ford to pay if it screws it up? That should be interesting to track.

It does suck your new truck is already in the shop though...hope it is an easy fix.

I've been told that five gallons of LSD will contaminate 1000 gallons of ULSD.

who cares if he put lsd instead of ulsd. I use my '04 crew cab 4 x 4 to do nothing but get groceries and play, so you should leave your opinion's on what others do with their trucks alone.

LSD can't be used in 08s. If LSD was put in his truck instead of ULSD, he's gonna have PROBLEMS. I don't think anyone really cares what another uses their truck for, FFdemoss was just saying people might not be "up" on what should be used in their vehicles for it to run properly, especially since ULSD is relatively new. sheesh

Please remember with things that are mass produced and contain up above 10,000 peices, things will go wrong with a few of them. You might have a lemon, or you might 1 bad part.

Please keep us informed on your situation.

Ford and International both say that an occasional tank of LSD won't hurt the engine or emission system.

Hard to know for sure, LSD sulfer content is greater than 15 ppm but less than 500 ppm. To avoid getting out of spec. during delivery, most LSD was considerably less than 500 ppm.

At a truck stop this past weekend while i was filling up the F350(5.4) I looked over at the diesel pump and it had a sticker under it saying LOW SULFUR DIESEL, and that the use of LSD in 07 and up trucks is prohibited under federal law or something along those lines.
