one dull headlight
I drove home from Bob's big boy tonight (car hangout) and noticed my passenger side headlight was dim and yellow looking compared to the drivers side. Wasn't like that before???? Is this caused by a ground wire that came loose? Any ideas. or did I cut a wire while removing my inner fenders. OH NO!!!!!

Most of the time I find a dim light to be because of a poor ground wire connection but it can also be a poor/loose connection in the power wire too.
I`m sure more will jump in here, this is just some quick thoughts of the top of my head and it`s getting late.....

This is not the same thing, but I had a loose ground wire on my 89 ranger that dimmed one light (just when it felt like it!!!!). It took me a while to find. I eventually found it one night when I reached for something under the hood, moved the wire (unintentionally), and the light dimmed. I just had to clean the connector (factory wire loop thing) and tighten it up.

Thanks guys, I just pulled the headlight and found that the ground wire was loose. My ground is mounted to the inside of the headlight bucket with a screw, pretty sorry screw I might add. I'll look for a better mounting spot for the ground wire. I turned the lights on, wiggled the ground wire and the light brightened up nicely. Learn something everyday, or should I say, Need to fix something everyday. LOL....
