83 Ford E150 Electronic Ignition Woes

Kirby finally got it running. Replaced the sensor attached to the crankshaft. Found out this has a copper coil and if the insulation is rotten, it could cause it not to start.

Argh....thanks for all the suggestions, though and the advice. It did help.

Good to hear it. The EEC-III system can be a bear to diagnose in the driveway. The good news is that it's fixed for now.

We were told by a retired Ford mechanic this was a MUC system as this is a early 83. Ford later improved ITs problems but ....oh well.

At least it runs now.
