1978 Grill

I just boguht a 1978 F150 custom.Bought it for 800 bucks canadian!!!
I was just wondering if you could convert the front end to look like a F150 from early on. say like around 1970-1977?

You can use 1973-1979 parts on your truck. Not sure, but you may have to swap core supports if you swap a 73-77 on your truck. The lights are mounted differently. Someone should be able to shed more light.

78 Custom's came with ROUND lights so no alteration is necessary.

The swap over should be direct.

Yea some 78's came with round headlights but they are mounted above the marker lights,so not to sure if it will be has easy as you think!

Only Customs came with Round lights

The Turn signal lights were moved to below the headlights.
But he will need the complete grille area for the swap...that's what I meant .....direct swap if he has the parts.

Just curious here. The headlights on the 73-77 trucks mount the same way and same place on the core support as the 78-79 trucks? I had never investigated this, so I am just trying to clarify this for myself.
