Well, went out and ordered my new Super Duty today. Since they didn't have what I wanted I went this route. Got the '08 F-350 Crew Cab Shortbed with the 6.4 motor. Got all the bells and whistles except for the integrated gps system. I believe he said the cost on that was $2700!! There aren't enough roads here in Alaska to get lost on anyway. The next couple of months will probably be the longest time of my life, but it will all be worth it!!!
Ive seen the ford movie of the 08 in Alaska ripping it up and looking sexy....hope yours looks just as good. What color did u order yours in? Mind saying how many million it cost you?
Congrats on pulling the trigger. I think you did the smart thing ordering one the way you wanted it. Now you can start looking for accessories while you wait.
Well, the way I see it, it cost about 2 arms and half a leg. Sticker was 53. Used the X-plan through my job and saved several thousand. Also, here is AK, we have no sales tax! Big plus!
Now about those accessories. Stopped by my local Custom Truck and Accessories looking for a truck topper (the camper shell style). I have a question to anyone that has one of these on their S.D. I'd like to be able to get my 4 wheeler (2004 Honda Rubicon) in there with that topper. Do I have to go with the taller style topper or would one that is just level with the cab do. Yeah, I can measure it but not sure how the loading ramps would effect how much clearance I would need. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
