I know this issue had been talked about alot but I would like to be a little more specific. I have an 04 F250 extended cab shortbed 4X4. I would like to install a set of F350 rear spacer blocks to get a little more lift in the rear. Can anyone give me the correct part number I need to order to get the right blocks for my truck? And does year have anything to do with the height of the blocks? I tried looking up part numbers on the Ford parts site and found that 01's have a different price than for the 04's so I am assuming the spacers are different. (When I looked up the parts I used F350 since that is the block I am looking for.) So I would appreciate it if someone could give me the correct 4" spacer part number I need for my truck. Also from what I read I need to make sure the blocks are the tapered version is that correct?
I had started to research it, but quit when I found the parts have been updated with new stock codes at least twice. Easier for someone like Ed who has the nessesary info on hand. I only beat my head against the wall when absolutly nessesary.
Actually you are thinking of someone else y2kfordparts. I haven't talked to anyone about parts yet but hopefully it won't be as bad as the project you are talking about here.
Thanks for the replies guys.
I'm glad someone is good at working with Ford part numbers.
I understand the concept, and the process Ford used for the FSM. But I still want to shoot myself everytime I look something up. BTW... GM and International books aren't any better. The best I have run into is John Deere, very basic and down to THAT model not HALF of the lineup.
BTW... expect a call from me in the next few months for some 2000 F-350 rear blocks.
