brakes

hey guys, just got new brakes and seems like i have to mash the pedal to the ground....i did get 285's on and wondering if that has anything to do with it. i checkd brake level and looks maxed out so i dont know what to check or do next...i was thinking of getting a brake line flush next....any other ideas? thanks in advance oh yea its a 02 fx4 5.4 scab

Shouldnt be the 285's...that's what I have on my truck and the brakes are just fine.

sounds like air in the lines you need to bleed the brakes

You should wear them in properly. New Pads and rotors don't fit together and make a good pair for a short while.
