06 Ranger Front Tow Hooks

I have an 06 Sport 4X2. I want to get the front tow hooks that are on the 4X4 sport. Is this possible, or is the frame different on the two wheel drive.

you should be able to get tow hooks for your 2wd, I don't see any problem.

This post got me wondering... Have the frames on our rangers realy changed much over the years. Maybe when they have changed body styles? I am under the impression that they have remained fairly constant over the years. Anyone know, or care. I'm just curious, no real reason to want to know.

I don't think they really change them much from the original... but they make minor modifications to fit certain things as necessary...mounting positions move and stuff, etc.

83-97 all 4x4 use the same ttb frame, on 2wd modes the engine mounts where sligtly different for some un known reason. super cabs and splash models got their own modified frame but the axles would interchange with any other modle. the wheel base is still the same as is the width. in 93 the body grew wider (3") but the same frame. i think 98-current use the same set up but is different from gen 1. being the ifs is different.
