I'm thinking of installing a fabtech 2.5 inch leveling kit. Does anyone have expierience or pics of their trucks with one? Also, I have an 05 4x4 PSD and the guy at 4WP said 305-70-17's on Moto Metal 951's would rub like crazy without the lift. he said 285's were tops without a lift. ????????????
Well the 305 is the equivalent to a 33". You might have the rubbing problems my 35" did with a leveling kit. The outside edges of the tire might catch the bottom corner of the bumper and the inside fender well.
I wouldn't trust 4WP too much, they're not exactly 100% correct on the information they give out. They told me I wouldn't be able to turn my wheels very far with 35"s and a leveling kit.
I am interested in knowing this as well. I like the 951's and that is the tire size I want. I do have the snow plow package on mine. I think that raises the front end equal to a leveling kit. Can anyone verify this? Keep us posted on what you decide and the outcome! I do think the 951's will cause the tires to stick out past the fenders if that matters to you.
I decided on a donohoe 2.5" leveling kit. (Progressive springs vs blocks for $100 bucks more) plus Donohoe shocks instead of Fabtech. I'm having a local shop do it instead of 4WP cuz they're doing a better kit for the same price as well as matching the price on the 951's ($141 each) and the BFG 305/70/17's for $217 including Mounting and balancing. The whole 9 yards installed for around $2400. Will add pics to my galley when it's done.
I run the 305/65/18 BFGs on a stock F350 diesel. For what that is worth... I also thing the DR kit is the best bet. I am saving up for their 4.5 inch kit.
plow prep doesn't raise up thef ront equal to a leveling kit. i have a crewcab with diesel and plow package and my nose is way lower. i gotta raise mine, probably going with the cage aluminum pucks, or the daystar polyurethane spacers
I have the plow springs in mine. I don't think it changes the front height much. I put 2 1/2" spacers in the front and F350 blocks in the rear and now the front is 1 inch lower than the rear. Just the way I wanted it. I have 33's I don't think 35's would cause any problems.
