Planning on installing a shift kit in my stock 03. I'm narrowed down to the Suncoast kit and the Transgo Performance. Just looking to firm the shifts up and theTC lock up. Any comments on either of these kits.

Call BTS( Brians Truck Shop) in lead hill ARK. He seems to be the man when it comes to the 4R100, ask what he recommends. are you sure you just want a shift kit, and not a valve body? Sure, either will firm the shifts, but the VB will allow a higher more consistent line pressure, and also give your tranny increased life expectancy.
I've heard nothing but good things about both SC and TG, so I could not pick one over the other

Chalk one up for the Transgo Tugger kit. I wanted a BTS trans as well, but things seem to break when you can least afford the time to be broke. Found a local tranny shop that had rebuilt a 4r100 with the full Tugger kit, and then ordered a Precision Industries TC to go with it. Couldn't be happier. It is nearly the perfect transmission now. Including Towing 12K lbs+.
BTS is not the best about returning emails I had 4 go unanswered until I finally just called them. From what I have been told the BTS VB is a TG unit with a few "special" tweaks.
