I really don't care if I offend someone when I say God Bless or anything religious in nature. I get offended almost everyday and I shrug the comments off because I said this as a child and say it to this day..."Sticks and stones can break my bones but words will never hurt me"!

Now it's, "Sticks and stones may break my my bones, but words will emotionally scar me for life."

As a rule in general I never try to offend anyone UNLESS THEY FIRST HAVE OFFENDED ME. for exzample cell phones were ok untill I almost had several accidents caused by someone trying to drive and use one, Illegal aliens ok untill our jails filled with them and I saw many of them breaking the law and killing americans while they were driving drunk........Let anyone worship as thery want UNTILL THEY RUN THEIR MOUTH ABOUT HOW I MAY OR MAY NOT WORSHIP,,, see what I mean?

I don't worry about being PC I say What I want if people don't like it they can get over it. We have too many Veterans that fought for our country and future veterans who are overseas in Iraq like my son and many other members here who have family members there.

People have forgotten how to read the constitution and the bill of rights and twist the very meaning of them by trying to change the words.

I agree...I gave up on PC a long time ago. I don't go out of my way to offend people unless they're already done something to me to earn it, but frankly, all I can do is be me...if that happens to offend people along the way, then I'm sorry, truly, but you probably need to grow a thicker skin.

I work for a public agency that insists on giving us "harassment training". The following is the holiday greeting I sent in December:

You work for a public agency so have a merry or somber politically correct, religious and/or non sectarian, gender neutral, ethnically ambiguous, non specific sexually preferential mid winter holiday that doesn't offend you or diminish your self esteem or offend or diminish the self esteem of any underrepresented, downtrodden or oppressed minority you choose to or not to celebrate.

To me, this is not a laughing matter. I've been saying for years that this is a war, and our way of life is at stake. It's not merely a matter of liberals, Democrats, etc. It's the scourge of secularism that's ripping this country apart. They start with religious issues, mostly with the ACLU (American Communist Lawyers' Union) filing idiotic lawsuits. They know most Americans won't vote for the crap they want to make happen, so they throw it against the wall of the Supreme Court and see what sticks. Look at prayer in school, taking God out of The Pledge, the word Christmas being taboo...who voted for that? PC is deadly serious, and if more Americans don't treat it as such, we will all be very sorry very soon.

The constitution says " Freedom of speech" not "Freedom of speech but Don't offend any one with what you say."

There are ~300 million people in the United States. It is the most culturally diverse nation on the planet. Clarify for me, who's at war with who? And who's "way of life" is at stake?

You mean putting God in the pledge, right? On June 14th, 1954, the United States Congress passed the legislation adding the phrase "under God" to the Pledge. I guess the question is how did we manage to survive for all those years prior to that day? Man, life before 1954 must have been a living hell, chaos, unbridled anarchy.

If we don't take it seriously what exactly is going to happen?

mil1ion, you now have to come to my house and clean my computer. for future reference do not drink soft drinks and read fte. wish someone would have warned me. i guess i will incorporate into the greetings i pass out. good one code3, actually alot of good posts. we are a very soft society, and the inmates are definetly running the prison. I'm absolutely sick of the weak minded attacking my liberties. why should my right to say christmas, etc, go away for these (insert your favorite derogatory name). it is not okay for them to walk into a government building and see anything related to god, and religion which were extremely important at this country's birth, so my right to see it and believe in it gets censored and brushed aside. there rights and feelings have become more important than mine, and unlike most of those sniveling, whining, weak minded(derog. name here) i actually defended our constitiution. unlike our largest puss, pc former, former non inhaling, draft dodging president. that is about when i really noticed this trend gain serious ground. oops i think i just crossed the politics line! Dan
thank you mil1ion my computer will never be the same but the laugh was good.

I try to be as politically incorrect as possible. Take for instance the school teacher who thinks it's not nice to grade papers in red ink, or how it's not nice to play dodge ball or tag in recess anymore, or even the one I heard a while back about someone making a claim that competition is bad for people. ( man those people really need a snotrag to cry in ) I'm sorry, but people make mistakes, nothing wrong with red ink. Hell dodgeball is great for the reflexes, and sorry Billy for blasting you in the face in 5th grade, I didn't mean to break your nose. And for the competition part ? Are you kidding me ? Little Johnny didn't lose, he just didn't do as well my ****, Little Johnny lost. Now either little Johnny is going to try harder next time and maybe win, or maybe the game just wasn't for him, it's no big deal.

Seems to me we're wanting to try and cater to every single living breathing person on the planet and I've got news for you, there's no way to make everyone happy. One thing that's really getting on my nerves anymore though, aside from illegal immigration is this whole religion of Islam thing. Noone is supposed to say anything but good things about people who decide to turn themselves into a walking 4th of July, but it's ok if they talk about wanting to kill anyone else who doesn't have the same thought process, what kind of crap is that ?
