engine color

Truck flathead 239 was red. I think passenger cars were bronze.

Thanks Stu for the picture. I sort of like the bronze and think it will go well with my aluminum valve covers, timing cover and water pump. I might paint the intake Bronze as well.

I was told by the same restorer as Stu. In fact, I sent a picture of a starter painted with the Lincoln green to this restorer, and he verified that it was the same shade of green as he used. I have a V8 Times with a 1953 F100 Dearborn winner. The restorer in question is mentioned by name.

And yes, I do know that Bill Hirsch is a seller, not necessarily the manufacturer. Some people like to know where to get certain paints.
