Methanol Injection

What would be the benefit of running methanol/water injection on a stock 1999 V-10. I know it is primarly used for forced induction applications, and what is does, but do you think there would be any real advantages to it?

I believe if there was a benefit for naturally aspirated engines from it you probably wouldn't have to ask about it.

Hmm a good point. Perhaps I should have thought about it a bit more before asking. I was thinking that the drop in intake charge temps, and smoother combustion might net torque gains. But I did not consider the atomized water taking up space where oxygen could be, thus negating any gains from the cooler intake temps. Oh well, it was worth a shot i suppose.

You'd need a pretty radical tune for this to be worth it. And a lot of static compression.

If the motor is stock, nope, no advantage.

Other than MAYBE cleaning the carbon off the pistons
